The most rewarding part of being a fly fishing guide. Landing big fish.
The demo cast hook a trout phenomenon. Turned out to be a great fish, and put up a hell of a battle. The current water conditions are high, running at about 800 cfs ( cubic feet per second ), which is high, but will get a few hundred cfs higher as things warm up. Deer creek reservoir is maxed out, so we could be in for a long period of high water fishing conditions. Many anglers struggle with success in high water, for me, I thrive when the lower flows are heavy. As you can see from the photos, high water did not keep trout off our hooks. We caught a pile, for lack of a better fishing term for a ton of fish.Book your trip and take advantage of no crowds and big wild fish, as well as a free photo video album, you cannot go wrong. http://www.parkcityeXcursions.com edit
Guiding from the Bridge, and running back and forth landing fish and guiding.
Though fishing was tough, Mike did a great job picking up some techniques that will serve him well on his next fishing trip. Do not get me wrong we caught fish and lost few, but was not a record breaker by any means. That is why I mention when fishing is slow often times my clients end up learning double what they normally would have, however, I prefer fish cooperation and would rather be landing than teaching.
Fishing action of big rainbow and brown trout fly fishing on the Lower Provo River. The lower Provo is located 20 minutes from Park City Utah, and well worth your time.
