Craig's big wild morning brown trout. A dam nice fish, for a first timer with a fly rod. Not the fact he hooked the trout, but the fact he landed it on a size 22 Pale Morning Dun.
This guy was landed.
After 2 evenings of fishing, we finally hooked up with a rainbow. They proved to be more elusive than normal, but after Dan hooked up he said " I see color " Referring to a rainbow trout... The great thing about certain sections of the Provo river is you have the opportunity to catch both, and if you know where to fish, in good healthy sizes as well.
Fish on a fly make men smile. Dan shows us a perfect example of a perfect moment in time, which a landed trout elicits.
Today, the second evening fishing trip Dan and I fished together, we hooked this beautiful Brown trout whiten the first few casts. A storm was rolling through, with warm air blowing hard up the Provo canyon. A surreal moment, with a real fish on the line and shortly after landed, and released.
What a great shot of a great brown trout. This was the big brown we landed right at dark after quite the tenacious battle.
This was my clients fish of the day, or for that matter fish of the last 10 years. He played this fish to perfection and was able to, after time, Kart-wheels, and runs close to the reel backing, that we finally landed the fish far down stream from where the fish was first hooked.

The youngest least experienced of the 6 brought three to the net, taking home the title of most fish landed. Maybe not the biggest but, hey, he got them to the net. Worthy of the title fly fisherman.
