Utah Fly Fishing 2011. Fly Fishing Utah's Scenic Back Country with the Cowfers on a Five Day Fishing Excursion. We hit some of Utah's most productive trout waters and caught more quality fish than have been seen in years.
This fish was a monster that Monique was thrilled to have caught, and said it made her day in a big fat Rainbow trout sort of way...
Rocky Mountain Outfitters Trip, 2 hours on the middle Provo, fishing was ok, but we we only actually fished for about fifteen minutes. It was a corporate trip and they were more into drinking beer and enjoying the scenery than actually fishing, which was fine with me as I have been fishing the last 6 days straight. So we fished the middle Provo for abut 15 minutes and relaxed on the river side and talked. Despite the minimal time fishing we caught a few dinks.

Big Monster Rainbow trout caught on the Provo River. One of the biggest fish I have seen landed on that section of the Provo. Caught by David Cowfer on August 1st 2011.
Healthy beast of a brown, all the big fish we caught today made it to the net. Rare occurance, it's rare to land so many big fish in a half day of fly fishing. Plenty of fish are caught, the trick is getting the big trout to the net, which these guys did it to perfection.
