Today, the second evening fishing trip Dan and I fished together, we hooked this beautiful Brown trout whiten the first few casts. A storm was rolling through, with warm air blowing hard up the Provo canyon. A surreal moment, with a real fish on the line and shortly after landed, and released.
This big rainbow trout is longer than the net. I was marking it to later measure the length of the trout.This photo was taken on a Park City Excursions guided fly fishing trip, in August of 2011.

Dry Creek, which is sterile hence it's name, it is not very productive fishery, but amazing and a 2 hr hike from Alpine, Utah. By mid August it no longer exists, at-least the water. This year the water fall flows where the biggest I have seen in 10 years, the power was amazing.

This fish appears a bit tore up. Notice the red spot on outer lip, which is from being caught a few times. In late August you will find some fish, that in my opinion are not as bright. I say that because even in late August if you fish the water seldom fished by most anglers the trout are as healthy as can be, with no sighs of having been caught.
