UtahFlyFishing  > Guided Fly Fishing Trips > Lower Provo Fly Fishing Trips > Mike Supersaud Fly-Fishing on the Lower Provo River
The 2 Mikes hit the water today, the 13th of April. We hooked into a nice rainbow on our third cast and thought we were off and running. However, the Provo decided to toughen the game for fear of a lack respect for her mighty trout waters. We got the point and put are work in for our second fish with a couple our gap in between hook ups. Midge and a mild blue wing olive hatch came off during our time on the water, so there was plenty of activity in aquatic insect department. Overall it was a beautiful day of fly-fishing with the usual up's and down's that fishing can be sure to offer a man. I have some footage as well, I will be posting it here shortly, along with a short video, so hit the subscribe feed for fishing gallery updates. Thanks for checking out the fly fishing trips gallery.

Great shot of Mike casting to trout in the Provo River. We fished the lower section today and the water was rather high for this early in the spring. Running at an estimated 700 cfs.
Though fishing was tough, Mike did a great job picking up some techniques that will serve him well on his next fishing trip. Do not get me wrong we caught fish and lost few, but was not a record breaker by any means. That is why I mention when fishing is slow often times my clients end up learning double what they normally would have, however, I prefer fish cooperation and would rather be landing than teaching.
I fly box I found on the banks of the Provo river, if it's yours let me know. Nothing worse than loosing flies you have hand tied, with values of some in the thousands of dollars.
Cloudy day over timp. Still a cool back drop for the fly fisherman.
